For those of you who didn't know, Ket is heading for Galveston, Texas in a few days for a week [or possibly longer] of sunny weather, family bonding and a five hour car drive with Mike, Nikki and Chris. Thankfully I will be off my lady thing before we leave, so my annoyance with everything Mike will be reduced by fifty decimals.

Where we're heading is an idealistic eastern Texas town called Santa Fe. For those of you who don't know, an idealistic eastern Texas town is cow pastures, pick-up trucks, and very racist people... In fact, unfortunately for use central Texas dwellers used to a very diverse population, there is one Hispanic family and no African American families in Santa Fe, the last time I remember anyway. It is the definition to the new age young adult mind of HELL. A whole bunch of white, super christian people with green grass and ice tea sitting on their back porches and watching the cows graze. This is Santa Fe. For the most part.

My family isn't all that bad, really, I just butt heads with my Mawmaw [lol, way to enforce the stereotype, right?]. My Uncle Allan is a surfing nurse who plays guitar in his church's alternative rock/pop band. My Ant [She refuses to be an Aunt] Laura is a lawyers assistant who helps out the youth of the area. My cousins are little angels [when Jacob's not sneak cheating at Dominoes] and my Pawpaw [lol] is awesome. It's just hard to get treated like an adult by people who saw you grow up, y'know? Especially my Mawmaw, who said she would treat us as adults but then turns around and treats us as children. Jacob and Emily don't understand that we're adults and will try to press their boundaries, but they're kids, what can ya do?

It'll be nice, a week away from Cove, spending times with my boyfriend, my sister and her... thing...

I will have net, I will not be on Yahoo. I'll get on here and check my messages about once a day but that's about it. I will likely delete journals and just breeze through artwork, so if you have something you really want me to see or read, note it to me and I'll take the extra time to look at those. If not I'll try to stop by galleries when I get home.

I'll try to get a cheezy "Brb, Vacay" picture up before I go. Other than that, this will probably be the last journal before I leave. I'll try to be online for everyone Friday [because we may leave Saturday instead of Sunday] maybe.
